Andritz Hydro has sold its workshop in Vaplan. The new owner will continue to operate a mechanical workshop and will revert to the name Waplans Mekaniska Verkstad AB.
Some important points:
•• As of December 23, 2022, Waplans Mekaniska Verkstad AB will be the owner of
the property and machinery. Andritz will remain in part of the property as a tenant.
• Waplans Mekaniska Verkstad AB will continue to be a workshop focusing on
hydropower and other heavy industries such as the paper industry, wind power, etc.
• Andritz Hydro & Waplans Mekaniska have signed a cooperation agreement for continued good cooperation in
the future.
• Waplans Mekaniska is also taking over mobile machining equipment from Andritz Hydro Sverige
and will offer the same mobile machining services that Andritz Hydro Sverige has provided
in the past.
• Several former employees from Andritz Hydro will start working for Waplans Mekaniska on January 2, and they hope to be able to hire more employees as the business grows.
